If you are interested in bird watching on Great Keppel Island, it is highly recommended that before you visit, you read a very informative booklet "A Concise Field Guide to the Birds of Great Keppel Island" written by Allan Briggs. "The birds that both visit and live at Great Keppel are as varied as the habitats with seabirds, wading birds, songbirds, birds of prey woodland birds and mangrove birds all enjoying the location. The purpose of the Guide is to make it easy for you to find these birds and to identify them when you do find them." Check at the Holiday Village, Rainbow Hut, the Shell House, or contact Allan Briggs by email <
